We are looking for a Philanthropy Manager to join our team.
Sussex Community Foundation raises money for and provides grants to charities and community groups in East and West Sussex and Brighton & Hove. We offer a bespoke charitable-giving service, working with high net worth individuals, companies and charitable trusts, to enable donors to support the local causes they care about.
Sussex Community Foundation gives out around £2 million in grants every year and has raised an endowment fund of £17 million. We support several hundred groups each year, including food banks, homeless projects, mental health groups and many more, addressing disadvantage and building stronger communities.
We work with donors who are passionate about Sussex. These include individuals and families as well as large organisations, such as American Express, Comic Relief, Gatwick Airport and the Rampion Offshore Windfarm. Success is based on the ability to build long-term relationships and to develop an in-depth understanding of the community across Sussex.
This role will play a key part in supporting ambitious plans for the future and will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Chief Executive to attract new donors and provide an excellent service to existing and potential donors. The successful candidate is likely to have a strong track record in fundraising but the most important characteristics are the ability to build warm, professional and effective relationships with high net worth individuals and their advisors.
Interviews for this role will take place on Tuesday 17th July 2018. If you feel that you have the relevant experience and are keen to hear more, please apply by providing a CV in Word format – no cover letter is required at this stage. A full job description will be provided to candidates shortlisted by Prospectus.
