William Alexander Fund supports groups in Brighton & Hove supporting disadvantaged children and young people, older people, refugees and asylum seekers, those who suffer from drug and alcohol misuse or people suffering with mental health issues. Grants of up to £5,000 are available and applications should be made on our standard Sussex Community Foundation application form.

Salaam FC is a Brighton-based community run football club for boys and girls with players from ten different countries. The William Alexander funding helped the group with their core costs.
William Alexander is a specialist Technology and Business Transformation Professional Services and Recruitment group headquartered in Brighton. Established in 2010, they are continuing to grow year on year. William Alexander decided early on that they would like to be involved with local charitable giving and have chosen Sussex Community Foundation to enable this. They have set up an annual fund to make grants twice a year within Brighton & Hove to support causes close to their hearts. “This was always something we hoped to do. Fortunately, we are now in a position to be able to, with the help of Sussex Community Foundation,” says Director, Will Larcombe. “All of the employees at William Alexander live in the area and so are keen to give locally to smaller charities and groups where their ‘help can make a real difference’,” says Account Manager, Anna Myland.
