The Wellcombe Group Fund supports groups in Brighton & Hove and are particularly interested in projects to influence, support, and encourage employment and skills development opportunities for people with disabilities; ex-offenders; black and minority ethnic groups; long-term unemployed and any other disadvantaged groups. Grants of up to £5,000 are available and applications should be made on our standard Sussex Community Foundation application form.

Salaam FC is a Brighton-based community run football club for boys and girls with players from ten different countries. The Wellcombe Group funding helped the group with their core costs.
The Wellcombe Group is the parent company for Stellarmann, a Professional Services firm and William Alexander, a specialist Technology and Business Transformation Recruitment company headquartered in Brighton. Established in 2010, they are continuing to grow year on year. The Wellcombe Group decided early on that they would like to be involved with local charitable giving and have chosen Sussex Community Foundation to enable this. They have set up an annual fund to make regular grants within Brighton & Hove to support causes close to their hearts.
“This was always something we hoped to do when first establishing the company and so, with the help of Sussex Community Foundation, we are delighted to be able to continue to support many worthwhile causes” says Director, Will Larcombe.
“A large number of our employees live in the Brighton and Hove area and so are keen to give locally to smaller charities and groups where our help can make a real difference” says Account Manager, Anna Myland.
