Sue Addis was a pioneering figure in the Brighton and Hove business community. She supported many charities and raised funds for a wide range of causes. As a trustee of the Argus Appeal, she believed that small local charities could make a big difference to people’s lives.
Donatello’s and Pinocchio’s Restaurants continue to live to her values. They play a central role in the life of the city and are long-term supporters of Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Sue Addis Memorial Fund at Sussex Community Foundation will continue Sue’s amazing work in the community and her support for small local charities.
When the Argus Appeal Charity closed down, Sue and the trustees asked Sussex Community Foundation to continue their legacy. So, the first donation to the Sue Addis Memorial Fund, of £30,000, has come from the Argus Appeal.
In its first year the Sue Addis Memorial Fund will support charities addressing mental health and domestic violence as these were two causes that Sue cared deeply about.
We are inviting donations from the public via totalgiving and are hoping to raise substantial funds to support local charities.
