World Food Project

The World Food Project uses cooking and eating together to bring people together and to practise new skills. Through Hollingdean COVID mutual aid group, they are providing food for local families and elderly people, people with underlying health conditions and people who are extremely short of funds. They are also cooking for six young people in temporary accommodation and using Hollingdean Community centre kitchen for free and getting most of our ingredients from Fareshare so costs are minimal. The funding is to cover a proportion of the organiser and chef’s time for three months, extra ingredients and volunteer costs.
