The Hummingbird Project is a Brighton based charity working with young refugees in the city and across Sussex. Many young refugees they work with live far from their families with complex PTSD or mental health vulnerabilities. This funding is to adapt and increase the capacity of their organisation, to provide additional support to young refugees with crucial welfare items, such as emergency food packages, phone credit and devices to support internet connectivity. Also to use interpreters to provide more in depth wellbeing support, ensuring those with limited English are able to fully understand the current Covid-19 context and guidance.
