StepUpTech uses learning and the application of knowledge in a developing world context to engage its beneficiaries. The entire programme engages young people with ‘sustainable technologies’. Funding will provide workshops for young people to engage in STEM from building smokeless stoves using readily available sustainable materials (clay), educating deforestation by creating more efficient methods of biomass for cooking with (briquettes and rocket stoves), and using modern technologies to capture energy from waste heat.
