HFS was established by and for unemployed people. They collect unwanted but re-useable furniture and household goods, selling them at a heavily discounted rate, to people on low incomes in the area. HFS tutors have developed therapeutic outreach activities that boost confidence by teaching practical DIY and craft skills for vulnerable adults at domestic violence refuges, mental health centres and communities both in towns and rural areas. This grant is for IT equipment.
