Hands of Hope

Hands of Hope is a grassroots, community charity, with the aim to reconnect people with where their food comes from, teach them how to grow and cook healthy, nutritious food and use the process to deliver projects aimed at tackling childhood obesity and loneliness in older people across East Sussex. They are currently running a new monthly lunch club in Peasmarsh which they started in October 2018 and hope to extend to Brede in 2019. They also hope to increase the frequency of the Lunch Clubs as well as the schedule of activities. This funding will be used to address some of the biggest challenges which include the cost of transport for older members.
