Changes to our 2020 grant making

UPDATE on the coronavirus outbreak and our grant-making 2020 April 2020

In recent weeks, we have been focusing on supporting Sussex charities and community groups as they work hard to adjust their services to the coronavirus lock down and, at the same time, continue to meet the needs of the people they support. The importance of providing access to quick emergency funding was considered the greatest priority during this time. As a result, we have decided, for this year, to reduce the number of our normal grant-making rounds in 2020 from three to two.

The next usual deadline for grant applications to our Autumn round will be Friday 11 September and we will be open for applications to that round from Monday 15th June.

The Sussex Crisis Fund has been set up to support the community and voluntary sector in response to the coronavirus outbreak. It is designed to help fund the emerging needs facing our communities and the charities and community groups that support them, at this time. Initially, emergency grants of up to £5,000 are available. This fund has its own criteria and application form. Please read FAQs here.
